Family Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant

Our client a multi- office law firm , providing a first class service to people and businesses throughout Essex. Are seeking an experienced Family Secretary / Legal Assistant to join their expanding Family department with mainly public law cases.

The Role
• Working within the child law team dealing mainly with public law cases
• Using digital dictation system to produce correspondence related to family maters
• Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the solicitor’s day to day activities
• Liaising with local authorities, solicitors , Barristers, courts and guardians
• Processing applications, preparing court bundles
• Lodging documents, preparing short documents i.e. position statements and processing LLA online claims
• Meeting with clients taking notes
• Diary management
• General administration ,including filing ,photocopying, faxing and scanning

The Candidate
• You will be an experienced Family Legal Secretary or Family Legal Assistant experience with public law desirable
• Experience with case management
• Experienced with processing LAA online claims
• Strong IT Skills including Microsoft Word, Excel ,Outlook
• Excellent communication skills and a sympathetic ear
